Your first visit

What to expect — the short version.

Initial appointments are 45–60 minutes. We email your intake forms when you book, and ask for a few small things beforehand — no caffeine on the day, wash your hair the night before, skip the conditioner. When you arrive, we walk you through the qEEG calmly, at your pace.

First appointments at Camperdown follow the same protocol as Geelong — preparation, qEEG data collection, a short biofeedback assessment, and an initial review. The full written report follows your review appointment in Week 2, where Dr Ash sits with you and walks through the findings on screen.

FAQ

Camperdown-specific questions.

How far is the clinic from Warrnambool?

Camperdown is approximately 50 minutes east of Warrnambool by car along the Princes Highway. We see patients from across the Western District regularly.

Can I park outside the clinic?

Yes — there's free street parking on Manifold Street outside and around the clinic. Most spots are unlimited; some have council time signs, so check before you park.

Do you do home visits in regional areas?

Not generally. The qEEG and neurofeedback equipment requires the clinic environment. Telehealth consultations are available for follow-ups, biofeedback coaching and neuro-nutrition reviews.

Can I see Dr Ash at this clinic specifically?

Yes — Dr Ash sees patients across both Geelong and Camperdown. When you book, we'll confirm his next available appointment at Camperdown.

Is the clinic open weekends?

Camperdown is open Tuesday evenings (6pm–8pm) and Wednesday mornings (10am–12pm). For appointments outside these windows, our Geelong clinic is open Thursdays 9am–6pm, or telehealth is available Australia-wide. Saturday appointments are sometimes available by arrangement.

Scope of practice. Dr Ash Connell (Chiropractor) is registered with AHPRA. Clinical services at The Healthy Brain Clinic are delivered under additional certifications in qEEG, neurofeedback, biofeedback, and functional neurological exercises.

The same methodology, every tier

Examination, not assumption.

14 brain networks. Quantitative measurement at the start, the middle, and the end. Co-care with your GP and psychologist — we work alongside, not instead of.

Step 1

Examine

19-channel quantitative EEG, processed against age-matched norms via NeuroGuide. swLORETA source localisation maps activity to specific networks.

Step 2

Intervene

swLORETA-guided neurofeedback paired with HRV biofeedback at resonant frequency. Network-targeted protocols, not one-size-fits-all.

Step 3

Re-measure

qEEG comparison at mid-cycle and end of programme. If the data isn’t moving in the expected direction, we change the plan — not the calendar.

One methodology across every tier — from the free Snapshot through to the in-clinic 12-week programme.

Four tiers of care

Start anywhere. Step up when you’re ready.

Every tier uses the same methodology — examination first, then targeted intervention. Choose the depth that fits your concern, your timeline, and your budget.
